Korey Rogers, CFP®

Wealth Planner

A CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional, Korey Rogers comes from a long line of ranchers, pastors, and teachers. Though he began his career in accounting, Korey soon noticed that people in these occupations – his parents both teachers among them – were being vastly overlooked when it came to the proper guidance necessary for helping them live the life they desired, both before and after retirement. Rather than continuing his career as an accountant or transitioning into one of these familiar fields of work, he chose to become a Financial Advisor so he could begin making a difference to those he knew he could help.

Korey considers himself a "numbers person" and therefore is incredibly focused on his work, making sure he's able to help his clients formulate sound, risk-mitigated investment plans. Coming from a family of such dedicated individuals, Korey is no stranger to hard work and diligence. When he founded Rogers Capital Management in early 2017, he chose to create a business that he could bring his family into, allowing him to serve his clients for future generations.

Prior to establishing Rogers Capital Management, Korey was a Regional Director for investment management firm Lord, Abbett & Co. LLC, the Hartford Financial Services Group, and Edward Jones Investments. Wanting to be able to provide his clients with advice and guidance, Korey chose to start his own independent practice in early 2017.

He has more than 20 years of experience working with attorneys and tax professionals to help clients accumulate, preserve, and transfer wealth. Korey's experience includes planning with retirees and business owners, and every day he looks forward to working with his clients to help craft their story for decades to come.

Korey obtained his Bachelor of Science in Financial Planning from Texas Tech University and trained at the New York Institute of Finance. He received his CFP® from the CFP® Board of Standards in 2007. This designation is awarded to individuals who meet stringent requirements for professionalism and ethics in the financial services industry.

Korey is originally from Lubbock, but has lived in the Fort Worth area since 2000. He and his wife, Amy, have been married since 2002. They have a 18-year-old son, Camden, and an 16-year-old daughter, Maddox. With Camden involved in baseball, golf, and hunting, and Maddox involved in theater and dance, the family rarely sees a day that doesn't include at least one of their kids' activities.
